Welcome to The Vinnhaus Hotel,
We are a hotel & restaurant in the heart of the city of Puerto Natales, a place with soul and history that pays tribute to art in all its forms and that is part of an avant-garde offer, being an unmissable stop for those who visit the national park Torres del Paine in Chilean Patagonia.
Our house comprises 8 rooms in 2 different categories; Superior and Junior Suite, differing in design, space and level of comfort, an international restaurant and a speak easy Art Deco bar. Designed, built and directed by its founders Erkka Lindlöf & David Del Río, Vinnhaus is a unique place with great attention to detail with the power to fuse Patagonia with the most exciting modern global trends honoring classic beauty.
History
La Aurora Store
(1915- 1965)
Former general merchandise warehouse belonging to Agustín Yousuff Assan, where a variety of products and clothing for men, women and children, soft drinks, food and imports brought by ship from Europe were offered.
This commercial house operated uninterruptedly until 1965, when a fire consumed its facilities, and it was later rebuilt as a single-story building, preserving the chimneys of the original construction.
Junior Suite
Meticulously designed to deliver a warm feeling of peace, relaxation and romance, they captivate us with a classic style inspired by the European architecture of the 1920's such as high ceilings, wallpaper, and wall paneling. Decorated in beige, cream white and gold tones, they evoke neatness and purity, where oak tones give warmth and elegance to the interiors, reminding us of the beautiful golden age of carpentry and bronze art. They are located on the second floor of the main house accessed by a covered ramp and carpeted with radiant luminosity. With an area of 29 m2, they provide all the comforts of a home and the elegance of a hotel.
Each room has a hall and closet, work desk, a living area equipped with table and chairs, minibar, crockery, cutlery and comfortable window seats with views of the snowy mountain and the old municipal building, ideal for a day of reading or rest. The bathroom is spacious and bright, decorated in soft tones that contrast with the black and marble of the immaculate floor.
Modern details such as international device sockets and built-in USB chargers, ceiling fan and adjustable intensity lighting provide the greatest comfort that make the difference, and ensure an exceptional and unforgettable experience adapting to every occasion.
Superior
Located on the first floor of our main house, these rooms are a testament to our beginnings as a hotel in 2017. With 18 m² comprising a bedroom and bathroom, they have a large and sunny porche which offers views of the garden and its blooming yellow plum trees. They have been carefully renovated to guarantee maximum comfort and functionality, all while preserving the vintage style that defines us.
The design of these rooms stands out for the fusion of classic and contemporary, with minimalist Art Deco influences, rich in textures and deep colors. Each room features unique wallpapers, creating a distinctive and captivating ambiance.
Wool and cotton textures create a sophisticated and romantic atmosphere, accentuated by various lighting options. This environment invites travelers to enjoy a peaceful space which combines elegance and warmth, ideal for resting, making Vinnhaus the home to which they will always want to return after a long tour or trekking in the mountains.
